If you take a look at our Top 100 right now, Bruno Mars takes up an impressive amount of real estate. With "Uptown Funk," "Just The Way You Are," "The Lazy Song," and "Grenade" on the chart, he's managed to become a successful pop star AND songwriter since he signed to Atlantic Records in 2009. In addition to
being a solo artist, Bruno is 1/3rd of The Smeezingtons, the songwriting team behind a handful of past pop hits. Here's a list of six hit songs that you probably didn't know Bruno Mars had a hand in writing. Ready for your mind to be blown, Hooligans?

6. Cee Lo Green's "F**k You"

Perhaps better known as its censored version "Forget You," this one is a great example of the signature Smeezingtons' sound. It's upbeat, funky, and undeniably catchy. It also wouldn't have sounded out of place on Bruno's debut LP Doo-Wops & Hooligans.

5. Alicia Keys' "Tears Always Win"

This soulful ballad from Alicia's Girl On Fire album was written by only two-thirds of The Smeezingtons, but it's a Bruno song through and through. The guy just knows how to find a melody and run with it.

4. K'naan's "Wavin' Flag"

Bruno took the co-writer and producer helm on K'naan's uplifting single for his home province of Somalia, and also helped out on two other tracks from the 2009 album Troubador. In return, K'naan served as co-writer on Mars' procrastination anthem "The Lazy Song."

3. Flo Rida's "Right Round"

You may have already known that Kesha lent her vocals to the song's "You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)"-borrowed chorus, but it's a lesser-known fact that Bruno has a co-writer credit on the 2009 chart-topper.

2. Justin Bieber's "Love Me"

Bruno helped pen this song for a young Justin Bieber — just fifteen at the time — who included it on his very first EP My World. But you true Beliebers were probably already aware of that. ;)

1. Kanye West & Jay Z's "Lift Off"

Who knew that when Beyonce sang the hook "Bout to take this whole thing to Mars," on this Watch the Throne cut, that she was talking about Bruno? We're just playing, but Bruno's name is attached to this track, along with five other writers (Jay and Yeezy included, naturally). There was originally a rumor that he'd sing on the final track with Queen Bey herself. We'll just have to imagine how awesome that version would be.
